First time trying a baking subscription kit. I chose Red Velvet because unlike other baking subscriptions, they send you two recipes a month instead of one.
They sent me the pineapple upside down cake recipe as well as the gluten free pecan cookies. Both recipes were stellar except that I made a large mistake on the cake. I had low expectations for the flourless gluten free cookies because I’ve never really had any pastries I liked that were gluten free. I followed the recipe and instructions VERY closely and this just might be the best chocolate cookies I’ve ever had!! Not to mention that they’re incredibly beautiful as well.
Customer service has also been great- I’m excited to get my next box and enjoy future recipes with Red Velvet!!

What a ton of fun! Most are not difficult to make, sometimes it takes a bit of effort to make it look „pretty“, but they always taste good. The pre-proportioned baggies make it easy, quick, and a good activity with kids.

The recipes in each months box have been amazing. My 8 year old enjoys making the new creations. The best part is all the ingredients (besides eggs) are included and measured. This makes for less mess in the kitchen!

Amazing chocolate chip cookies. Olive oil! Who knew? The fève shape of the chocolate makes a nice splotch in the cookie. We froze some of the dough to make a batch later. Looking forward to trying other recipes!

It's the very first order that I had from you guys I absolutely adored that's why I joined your club the first club order that I had the lemon bars were exquisite however the orange cake was a little rough.
The second subscription order that I received the oil in the box spilled everywhere just kind of a mess I haven't cooked with it yet but I'll let you know.

I have been using the subscription for a few years now and have never been disappointed. Each month brings two great kits and it allows me to try recipes I would never have thought of. I also like that the recipes can be adjusted if needed. This month one of the selections was a pumpkin pie. I wrote in and asked if the recipe could be changed to tarts and sure enough Red Velvet replied and told me what to do. They turned out delicious and were a bit hit.

The lemon poppyseed cake was a total flop, but it tasted good. The dough was way too watery, so the crumb was way too firm. I ended up throwing 1/2 of it away. The chocolate cupcakes with the ganache frosting were tasty. I loved the flaked sea salt on the frosting. The cupcake cups were cute and made the perfect-sized individual desserts.

I had a big fail on the macarons but that is nothing to do with the kit. I can only blame my ability to follow directions. The butterscotch pudding however was so good it hijacked my brain for 3 days. I kept thinking about the remaining ramekins and whether or not my husband would eat the last one for lunch! The Earl Gray Tea cake was so delicious. Didn't taste as much like tea as it did a subtly citrus flavor which was light and delicate. The icing on top just made it sweet enough. Definitely don't use all the confectioners sugar in the bag. So yummy, I would make this again.

It's too late to take a photo of the cookies we made cause we already ate em! They were very very good. 2 people said at distinct times, that the flavor was just the right amount of sweet and lemon, and just the right amount of cooking. We've only made one item so far but I was very impressed. I like that everything is pre-measured, labeled, and separate so it was easy and safe to let my kids help with the cooking and still get wonderfull results. Also on the customer service side the team happily and easily pulled in an order and added a b-day wish. i'm sold!

High altitude makes baking especially challenging with things like Red Velvet cupcakes. While exact measures are nice, they don’t work at 7000’ elevation. Maybe add a footnote regarding modifications for those living in the mountains

The red velvet cupcakes were truly delicious. They were fun to make and everything came together nicely. The only hiccup was that filling the cups 3/4 full may have been a bit much. I spread the batter so each cup had the same amount, but when baking most of the cups overflowed. But when they were iced and the paper cup was removed they were fantastic.

This is will be a monthly project for my 12 year old son and I. The box was attractive and well packaged. He was eager to help, and I might add has some pretty good knife skills that he whipped out when peeling and dicing the orange rind. I had never made biscotti before and found the process was easy and tasty. Only suggestion is to add a little more dipping chocolate!

This box was amazing. I loved everything in it. We decided to exchange the Chocolate Ganache for the creme brulee. It was the best decision. Those cupcakes I can honestly say are the best chocolate cupcakes I have honestly had. They were delicious.
The Ginger Snap Cookies were amazing delicious. Those were a surprise to me. I knew they sounded good and I was excited to try them but they surpassed every expectation I had. We are a family of 5 and there are a few picky eaters in our bunch. Not one person complained. Those cookies did not survive the weekend. If they were in next months box I honestly would not mind because they are that good.

The spice cookies went together easily and were utterly delicious. The hint of white chocolate added a perfect contrasting flavor note that I never would have thought of. The gold sugar certainly dresses these cookies up...but they are delicious even without. A wonderful recipe!!
